Mentoring Mommies

Our program is dedicated to providing comprehensive support, resources, and education to teen parents enabling them to overcome challenges and thrive personally, academically, and professionally.

Helping mothers never doubt that they are Valuable & Powerful

We believe every teen parent deserves access to opportunities, guidance, and a supportive community to pursue their dreams and build a successful future for themselves and their children. Through mentorship, education, and advocacy, we aim to break cycles of poverty and empower teen parents to become confident, resilient leaders in their families and communities.

Educational Resources

Curriculum Materials: Developing and utilize existing curriculum materials tailored to the needs and interests of teenagers. These materials could cover various topics such as academic skills, career exploration, personal development, financial literacy, and health education.
Workshops and Seminars: Organizing workshops and seminars on relevant topics such as study skills, time management, goal setting, college preparation, job readiness, and mental health awareness. Inviting guest speakers or experts to facilitate these sessions can provide valuable insights and perspectives.
Tutoring Services: Offering tutoring services to help teenagers improve their academic performance in specific subjects. Recruiting volunteer tutors or partnering with educational organizations can provide additional support in areas where teenagers may need assistance.

Health care

Health Education Workshops: Offering workshops and seminars on various health topics relevant to teenagers, such as sexual health, mental health awareness, substance abuse prevention, nutrition, and physical fitness. These sessions will provide valuable information and promote healthy behaviors.
Access to Healthcare Professionals: Arranging for teenagers to have access to healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, counselors, and social workers. This will involve organizing health screenings, wellness check-ups, and confidential consultations to address any health concerns or questions they may have.
Health Insurance Assistance: Providing information and assistance to teenagers regarding health insurance coverage options, enrollment processes, and accessing affordable healthcare services. Connecting with resources and organizations that offer assistance with health insurance navigation and enrollment, especially for those from low-income or underserved communities.

Youth Outreach: Engaging directly with teenagers through targeted outreach efforts at youth centers, libraries, recreation centers, and other youth-focused venues. Offering workshops, activities, and incentives to attract interest and encourage participation.
Social Media Campaigns: Utilizing popular social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok to share information about the program. Create engaging posts, stories, and videos that highlight the impact of mentoring, success stories, upcoming events, and ways to get involved. Encouraging followers to share content and use relevant hashtags to expand reach.
Community Events: Participating in community events, fairs, and festivals to promote the Teen Mentoring Program. Setting up informational booths, distribute flyers and brochures, and engage with attendees to share details about the program’s mission, services, and volunteer opportunities. Networking with other organizations and community leaders can also help spread the word.

We need to reshape our own perception of how we view ourselves. We have to step up as mothers and take the lead.
